파올로 카펠로(Paolo Cappello)는 1980년 이탈리아 베로나에서 출생한 디자이너로 밀라노 공과대학교에서 산업디자인을 공부했다. 이후 루도비카+로베르토 팔롬바(Ludovica+Roberto Palomba)와 함께 3년간 협업한 뒤, 2007년 고향인 베로나에 자신만의 디자인 스튜디오를 설립했다. 그는 건축, 커뮤니케이션 및 그래픽 디자인 분야를 섭렵하며 다수의 세계적인 기업과 디자인 프로젝트를 진행해왔다. 양질을 모두 갖춘 카펠로의 작품들은 밀라노, 로마, 뉴욕, 파리, 상파울루, 마이애미, 런던, 두바이 등 전 세계를 아우르는 국제 전시회에서 소개됐으며, 이 창작물들은 유명 브랜드의 디자인과 오브제로서 인정받았다. 이에 2009년 아비타레 잡지가 추진한 이탈리아 오시게노상, 2011년 제1회 영앤디자인상, 2015년 컨템포러리 디자인상 등 권위 있는 시상식의 수상자로 선정되는 영광을 누렸다. 디자인의 진정한 아이콘으로 거듭난 그는 본업뿐 아니라 음악잡지 <롤링 스톤(Rolling Stone)>의 디자인 칼럼을 담당하는 등 다재다능한 모습을 선보이며 많은 팬층을 거느리고 있다. 카펠로의 세계가 담긴 창작물은 당신의 인테리어를 더욱 완벽하게 바꾸기 위한 최적의 선택이다.

Milonga is a long-legged bookcase, which arises with a delicate cadence between spaces. Both as a divider between rooms and more traditionally on the wall, it is an indispensable piece to organize your home library. Technical, but also daring and distinctive, Milonga plays with the colors of the tubes and the arrangement of the shelves. It is precisely the succession of shelves that gives movement to the bookcase, repeating the rhythm of the lines printed on the notebooks of our childhood.

몽크스(Monks) 사이드보드는 문과 서랍을 강조하는 디자인으로 비비드한 테두리 컬러가 인상적이다.
전통적인 일본 가옥의 디자인에서 영감받은 몽크스 사이드보드는 하나의 조각으로 사용될 수도 있고, 여러가지 색깔에 따라 리듬감 있는 매치가 가능하다.
The Monks series of sideboards designed by Paolo Cappello for Valsecchi 1918 is characterized by the colored profile in relief that emphasizes doors and drawers. This motif is inspired by the typical scores of traditional Japanese houses. The color of the profiles that mark the facades is echoed in the feet.

오또(Otto) 테이블의 강화유리 상판은 유기적인 모양으로 디자인돼 작업, 식사, 조리용으로 활용할 수 있는 넓은 표면을 자랑한다. 뿐만 아니라 식탁과 사무용 책상으로 사용할 수 있을 만큼 기능적이다. 나무 축 대칭 기반과 유기적인 꼭대기가 결합된 디자인은 살아있는 생물과 상호작용하는 것처럼 보인다.

카루소(Caruso)는 혁신적인 캐비닛이다. 트럼펫 모양의 스피커는 한때 스크래치 78s를 연주했던 축음기를 추억하게 하는 디자인에서 착안했다. 클래식한 외관과 달리 블루투스 연결로 음악을 출력하는 카루소는 미래지향적이면서도 향수를 불러일으키는 아이러니함이 특징이다.
Caruso invites you to sit down, take a break, and find again the magic to hear and see an object that plays good music. It stands on the edge of irony, a little futuristic, a little nostalgic, managing to combine hi-tech to the living for a multi-sensory decor.

Paolo cappello’s luciano speaker is entirely manufactured with ceramic material from nove, an emblem of distinct italian craftsmanship. Like the processing of the raw material, the audio system is also handmade, applying the best components used in the Hi-Fi industry. Sound performance is optimized in a laboratory through an accurate equalization process, which
guarantees a superior sound quality.
